This road trip is a little different because it isn’t a
“road” trip. Our trip to state
number 49 can only be done by plane!
Yes, we are Hawaii bound!
Tim and Maryann invited us along on their trip to Maui! We are so excited! Not only to be able to vacation in
Maui, but to do so with family! Thank you, Tim and Maryann!
Our first stop is in San Diego where we’ll spend a couple of
days with Tim at his condo before Maryann and the kids fly over from
Tucson. We enjoyed a beautiful
sunset dinner with Tim at Jake’s Del Mar Restaurant right on the Pacific Ocean.
Paul and I had fun exploring some of San Diego’s and
Carlsbad’s scenery and “knit shops” before Maryann and the kids arrived. I also had time to fight off a terrible
upper respiratory infection with the help of a CVS Minute Clinic’s doctor,
antibiotics, and lots of prayer.
Thank you, Tim, for helping find that clinic.
Soon the rest of the family joined us and we were Maui
bound, with a quick stop for lunch on San Diego’s harbor before reaching the
airport. Poor Natalie was so tired
she had a quick nap on the way to lunch.
