Day Two--Asheville to Dixon, TN

We got another early morning start today because we were going to meet up with our Granddaughter, Kirsten, in Pigeon Forge.  The band from Bear Grass Charter School traveled there yesterday for their annual fun trip.  Since we were passing that way, (sort of) we decided to stop in and give her a hug.

The rest of our day was spent traveling through the mountains of NC and TN.  After awhile Paul said, "Well, only 12,000 more miles to go.  We've just hit the 500 mile mark."   Oh, my!  Well, the scenery is certainly beautiful, and I'm in good company.  Paul is such a good driver.  I'm so thankful for him.  These first two days are the "easy" ones.  Tomorrow begins our longer days on the road.
Next stop, Van Buren, Arkansas.
