New England/Canada Trip- Oct. 18-19, 2019

Drive from Kincaid State Park in KY to Fries, (pronounced like "freeze") VA, and from Fries, VA to Bear Grass, NC!   HOME AGAIN!

We left Kincaid early with fog on the mountains and a beautiful sunrise.

This is a propeller for one of those huge windmills.

The sun was almost gone as we pulled into Fries New River Trail RV in Fries, VA.  This is one of our favorite parks.  One more night on the road before we head toward Bear Grass in the morning.

We just love this little RV park!  And the owners are Christians!

This was my knitting project for most of this trip; a bed-sized blanket for our granddaughter Grace's high school graduation.

Not long after leaving Fries, we crossed into North Carolina.

Our usual stop at Piedmont-Triad Farmers' Market.

We stopped at Deadwood for a take-out dinner to eat when we get home.

We've had an absolutely wonderful time, but this is always such a welcome sight.  The "Big House".  We are so thankful to be able to travel and do all that we do.  We are truly blessed.

Trip mileage.  Until next time . . . be blessed.

New England/Canada Trip-Oct. 17, 2019

Drive to Williamstown, Kentucky to the Ark Encounter.

The Ark is an absolute wonder to behold!  All the questions that arise in your mind about how Noah and his family provided for themselves and all the animals are answered when you visit the Ark Encounter.  There is definitely a lot of walking and climbing up and down steps.  But we highly recommend this "encounter" to anyone.
We stopped at a little quilt shop in Falmouth for quilt fabric!  I found a cute quilted scissors holder made from Farm All tractor fabric.  It reminded me of Daddy's little tractor I used to drive when I was growing up on the farm.  So, of course, I bought it.

Back to Kindcaid State Park for the night.
