Driving from Bryce Canyon, Utah, to Monument Valley, Utah.
Prepare yourself for another photo overload, but with about 350 miles of such scenic beauty, I've actually posted on the conservative side. Especially trying to choose from the over 600 photos I took.
We're leaving out around the back side of Bryce Canyon National Park and heading east into the sun taking Utah's Hwy 12. (It's definitely not like our NC Hwy 12!)
Once again, this is a road less traveled that winds through several state and national parks, including, Kodachrome Basin State Park, Escalante Petrified Forest, and Capitol Reef National Park. All together they are called the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, which encompasses over 1.8 million acres.
There were many cows very close to the road, but this is the only
shot I got with the cows and the "open range" sign in the same picture.
Have you ever heard of a "just a hole in the wall"? Well, here it is. A store built into a hole in a mountain called, "Hollow Mountain".

Monument Valley up ahead. We just passed "Forrest Gump Hill" where Forrest Gump took off his shoes and quit running. He turns around and says he's tired and is going home now.
Well, we're not quite ready to head home yet, so we'll keep going.
We'll be here tomorrow for a day of rest and then head out toward Lyman State Park in St. Johns, Arizona on Friday.
