Everett, WA, to Prince George, BC, Canada

Today's ride was just as long as the one yesterday, but it certainly didn't seem like it.  The roads were much better and not nearly as congested.  It began with a beautiful sunrise over the Puget Sound and the town of Everett below.

Our ride began with more beautiful mountains.

These are different mountains but they're in the same Cascade Range.  It never ceases to amaze me at how much beauty God as created for our enjoyment.

Paul said he was going to make a separate folder just to put all the pictures I've taken of barns.  Yep, I just love old barns.  These are just a couple of them I took today.

And also churches.

After about 5,000 miles, we've finally reached the Canadian border.

Our passports were both in order, we answered all their questions about where we were going and why, what type of food we had, and whether we had any firearms with us.  They even asked us what type of firearms we had back home.  What difference does that make?  They were concerned about our "canine" spray, and Paul had to park and go inside to explain that I was afraid of the bears.  Yes, really.

The highlight of today was a ride down the Hell's Gate tram across the Fraser River.   The tram operator told us that the mountains behind us (the ones to the right of us as we'd been driving) were still in the Cascade Range.  The mountains the tram was connected to on the other side (the ones to the left of us as we'd been driving) were in the Pacific Range.

Yes, we really did this.  Not so scary.

There are many more beautiful pictures in the folder.  Remember to click on the link for current pictures to see more.  (By the way, Paul doesn't put ALL the pictures I take in that folder, just a few.  Really!)
