Today we took a side trip to Banff and Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. Not long after we left Radium Hot Springs we met these guys crossing the road in front of us. A mama black bear and three cubs! In the first picture, cub number one has run ahead of the others over to the shoulder of the road.
I know we have posted lots of pictures of mountains, but these mountains are magnificent!

This lake is so beautiful, but it is so hard to capture just how beautiful it is in a photo.
The drive back was just as beautiful as the drive up.
The water that runs off the mountains is so blue and crystal clear.
We met this grizzly almost in the same place as the black bears we saw this morning.
And we saw these long horn sheep when we got back into Radium Hot Springs. At first we thought they were statues, but no, they were just cooling off under the shade downtown.
