Tok, Ak, to Fairbanks, AK, to Healy, Ak (Post # 21)

June 24-26
The drive from Tok to Fairbanks was cloudy and uneventful.  Still beautiful, though.

By looking at this railing, someone had an eventful day.  I feel sorry for them.

And we HAD to stop at the North Pole to talk to Santa about our grandchildren!  Even in the summer, Santa was very busy, so we didn't get to talk to him too much.

Looks like someone tried to catch a ride. I bet this monkey was running from a grizzly.  I don't blame him, I'd try to catch a ride, too!

More bugs!

This is our camping spot for four nights and it will be the longest stay in any one place since we left home. Today has been a rest day to prepare for our long day tomorrow when we take the bus 85 miles into Denali.  It will be about an eleven hour trip from the time we leave the Visitor's Center and back again.  The last time we were here we could only go a mile in because of all the snow, but that time was earlier in the summer than now.
